"A fantastic, iconic blues dive filled with the most welcoming a group of people you'll ever find. I went there on a Thursday night to sit and listen to the blues jam, and although I did not bring I guitar with me from Oklahoma City, they found one for me to play. That allowed me two get up and do a few tunes with the band. The jam host Pete was on top of it. And ran a great blues jam."

"The Goat is seriously one of my favorite little dive bars in Dallas. When I lived in East Dallas, this was always my go-to spot at night, and I’ve been coming here on and off for probably 10+ years now. Great live music, karaoke nights, pool, cheap drinks and just an all-around fun, no-frills neighborhood bar. I used to come in during the day when Cathy was behind the bar, then spent plenty of nights there when Sarah was bartending, and now Leslie is hands down my favorite! She’s always fun, welcoming and takes great care of everyone. If you like a true Dallas dive bar with good people in and zero pretentiousness, The Goat is definitely worth checking out. ❤️"

"Went here once when I was in the DFW area for work. The minute I walked through the door I knew I was in for a good time. First, I love the blues. Not blues rock. Not the occasional SRV cover. But straight up "blues with a feeling" blues. And the bands I heard here were carrying that tradition forward. And from what I could tell, they were all local, which is good because DFW has a great blues history that predates SRV by a few decades. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The wait staff was nice and attentive. This was everything a blues bar SHOULD be. if I lived here, this would be my home base."
